Money you can account for.

Givese moves money between banks, not through us. Here is exactly how that works, and what happens to your data along the way.

Givese never holds your money

Givese is not a bank and has no access to your funds. Every payment moves through a regulated payment gateway from the payer’s bank directly to yours. There is no Givese balance, no wallet, and no point at which your money sits with us.

Payments handled by regulated providers

Payments are processed by Paystack in Nigeria and Stripe in the United Kingdom, both licensed and regulated in the markets they operate in. Card details are captured by them, never by Givese, and we do not store card numbers on our systems.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Data moving between you and Givese is encrypted, and data stored on our systems is encrypted too. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service, and every action taken in your account is logged against the person who took it.

Built on infrastructure you already rely on

Givese runs on AWS — the same cloud infrastructure used by banks, governments and healthcare providers worldwide — with redundancy and monitoring as standard.

Your data is yours

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with other organisations. Giving records belong to the organisation that collected them, and your data is never used to benchmark you against anyone else.

Compliant where you operate

Givese is built to meet UK GDPR and the Nigeria Data Protection Act. We handle personal data the way you would expect: collected for a stated purpose, kept only as long as it is needed, and available to you on request.
